Today, we have something special for our Florida home inspectors. We’re delighted to offer you the Florida Wind Mitigation template in the ISN Report Writer! Otherwise known as the Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection, it’s brand new and we’re excited for you to access this new tool during your home inspection visits (and be sure to check out this short video on the new template):
The Florida Wind Mitigation Template is Here
The template has everything you’ve come to expect — building code, roof covering, roof deck attachment, roof-to-wall attachment, roof geometry, secondary water resistance (SWR), and opening protection.
To view and download the template, log in to ISN and follow these simple steps:
Step 1 – Go to “Report Templates”
Step 2 – Click “Add from library”
Step 3 – Click “Uniform Mitigation Verification Inspection Form”
Writing the Report
Step 1 – Go to the report you are ready to start and click “Actions” and then click “Write Report”
Step 2 – Select the Uniform Wind Mitigation Template
Key Changes to the Report Writer Structure
For now, please be aware there are a few key changes to the Report Writer structure with these templates only.
- Compound Checkboxes: Clicking on the checkbox opens additional input fields that are related to that comment.
- Inspector Signatures: There are a few sections of the report that require the inspector’s signature and we’ve added three ways for inspectors to create a digital signature: touchpad, image upload, and keyboard.

Type the inspector’s name, click “Generate Signature,” and select the signature you like best from the preloaded fonts:

Check Out the New Template in ISN
