Hurricane Helene has turned lives upside down and, undoubtedly, Hurricane Milton will potentially do the same. Many homeowners have lost everything, and before they can even think of rebuilding, they need a home inspection to assess the damage.
It’s not just about ticking a box; this inspection is the key to documenting the extent of storm-induced damage for insurance claims and potentially obtaining critical FEMA assistance.
Inspectors in affected areas have been stepping up, offering these crucial inspections free of charge. And here at ISN, we’re jumping in to help. While we can’t wield a flashlight and a ladder, we can give you a break where it counts: your ISN fees.
Here’s how we’re pitching in
Introducing the Storm Damage Assessment template
To make things easier, we’re also offering a new Storm Damage Assessment inspection template designed specifically for documenting storm damage, including wind and water impacts from large storms like Helene and Milton. This template is 100% optional, but we wanted to make it available to you to streamline your reporting process and ensure detailed and comprehensive documentation.
If you’d like to use the new template, just reach out to ISN Support to request it. And if you prefer to stick with your own template, again, that’s fine too!
Here’s how to get your ISN fees waived:
-
- Once you’ve completed your inspection, be sure to enter each inspection fee as $0 in ISN
- Send ISN Supportthe addresses of the homes you’ve inspected
- Once your ISN invoice has been generated, we’ll apply the credit to your account for each pro bono inspection
You’ve got the hard part – making sure damage to homes has been documented and families can begin to move forward.
Together, we can help homeowners take that first step to recovery. To that end, if you’re looking to help out those affected by these storms, you might also consider making a donation to the Red Cross hurricane relief fund.
